1、 Startup steps
(1) Preparation work for inspection
Equipment appearance inspection
Before starting the PCBA cleaning machine, the appearance of the equipment should be inspected first. Check if the device casing is damaged, deformed, or cracked to ensure the integrity of the device. If any problems are found with the casing, it may affect the sealing or safety of the equipment and require repair first.
Check whether the various connecting components of the equipment, such as pipes, wires, etc., are firmly connected. For the inlet and outlet pipes of the cleaning machine, it is necessary to confirm that there are no signs of water leakage, and all pipe joints should be tightened. Good wire connections can prevent circuit failures during operation, which can affect the normal use of equipment.
Cleaning solution inspection
Check if the cleaning solution level inside the cleaning machine is within the appropriate range. If the liquid level is too low, it may not be possible to fully clean the PCBA and cleaning solution needs to be added. Different cleaning machines have different requirements for the type and amount of cleaning solution, and the appropriate cleaning solution should be selected according to the equipment manual. For example, for some precision PCBA cleaning, specialized electronic cleaning agents may need to be used, and their composition and concentration need to be strictly controlled.
At the same time, check the quality of the cleaning solution to see if there is any discoloration, sedimentation, or odor. If the cleaning solution is abnormal, it may affect the cleaning effect and needs to be replaced in a timely manner.
Place PCBA
Place the PCBA that needs to be cleaned correctly in the designated position of the cleaning machine. Usually, there are specialized fixtures or trays inside the cleaning machine to secure the PCBA. It is important to ensure that the PCBA is placed smoothly and does not collide with other components inside the cleaning machine. For PCBA of different sizes and shapes, it may be necessary to adjust the position of the fixture or use different trays to adapt.
(2) Turn on the power and set parameters
Turn on the power
After completing the inspection and placement work, turn on the power of the PCBA cleaning machine. The position of the power switch varies depending on the device model, usually on the front or side of the device. After turning on the power, the control panel of the device will light up and display the initial status of the device.
Set cleaning parameters
Set cleaning parameters based on factors such as PCBA type and degree of dirt. The main cleaning parameters include cleaning time, cleaning temperature (if it is a cleaning machine with heating function), and cleaning method (such as spray intensity, ultrasonic power, etc.). For example, for PCBA with a lot of dirt, the cleaning time can be appropriately extended or the cleaning temperature can be increased; For PCBA with precision components, it may be necessary to reduce the ultrasonic power to avoid damaging the components. After completing the parameter settings, double check if the parameters are correct.
(3) Start the cleaning program
Confirm start
After ensuring that all preparation work and parameter settings are correct, press the "Start" button on the cleaning machine control panel to start the cleaning program. At this point, various cleaning devices inside the cleaning machine (such as spray heads, ultrasonic transducers, etc.) will start working according to the set parameters.
Observe the operating status
In the first few minutes after starting the cleaning program, closely observe the operating status of the equipment. Check if the cleaning solution is circulating properly, if the spray is uniform, and if the ultrasonic waves are working properly. If any abnormal situation is found, such as abnormal noise, leakage of cleaning solution, or malfunction of the cleaning device, the cleaning program should be stopped immediately, and the fault should be checked and eliminated.
2、 Stop step
(1) End cleaning program
Waiting for cleaning to complete
When the cleaning program is completed according to the set time, the cleaning machine will automatically stop the cleaning work. But if it is necessary to stop in advance during the cleaning process, such as discovering abnormal conditions in the PCBA or the cleaning effect has reached the requirements, you can press the "stop" button on the control panel. However, in non emergency situations, try to let the cleaning process end naturally to ensure the cleaning effect.
Drain cleaning solution (if necessary)
For some cleaning machines, it is necessary to discharge the cleaning solution after cleaning is completed. This can be done by operating the drain valve on the equipment or following the instructions in the equipment manual. When discharging the cleaning solution, be careful to collect it in a suitable container to avoid contaminating the environment.
(2) Remove PCBA and turn off the device
Remove PCBA
After cleaning is completed and the cleaning solution is discharged (if this step exists), open the door of the cleaning machine and carefully remove the PCBA. When removing, be careful to avoid collision or scratching of the PCBA, as the surface of the newly cleaned PCBA may still be relatively fragile. Clean tweezers or gloved hands can be used to operate and place the PCBA in a dry and clean place for drying or further processing.
Turn off the power
After removing the PCBA, turn off the power of the PCBA cleaning machine. Turning off the power can be achieved by pressing the power off button on the device. After the power is turned off, the indicator light on the control panel will turn off. At the same time, the device can also be unplugged to ensure complete power failure and avoid safety hazards.
Equipment cleaning and maintenance (optional)
After turning off the power, if there is time, you can perform simple cleaning and maintenance on the cleaning machine. For example, wipe the inside and outside of the equipment with a clean damp cloth to remove residual cleaning solution or dirt. Check all components of the equipment for damage or replacement, and prepare for the next use.
